As part of a new project funded by the European Campus (EUCOR), Laura Ragni from the University of Freiburg and Hugues Renault from IBMP Strasbourg will study the molecular mechanisms governing the formation and evolution of protective barriers in plants. These barriers play a crucial role in shielding plants from environmental stresses and represent a significant portion of plant biomass. This project could pave the way for new strategies to enhance plant resilience and their carbon storage capacities.
